Darboux transformations for q-discretizations of 2D second order differential equations

One of the important components of the theory of nonlinear S-integrable differential equations [1] is Darboux transformations, the story of which starts with the paper by Moutard [2] and therefore, contrary to the common tendency, we will call them Moutard-Darboux transformations. An example of an equation which admits Moutard-Darboux transformations is the second order linear differential equa...

Initial value problems for second order hybrid fuzzy differential equations

Usage of fuzzy differential equations (FDEs) is a natural way to model dynamical systems under possibilistic uncertainty. We consider second order hybrid fuzzy differentia

On the stability of linear differential equations of second order

The aim of this paper is to investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of the  linear differential equation$$y''(x)+alpha y'(x)+beta y(x)=f(x)$$in general case, where $yin C^2[a,b],$  $fin C[a,b]$ and $-infty

Higher-order Darboux transformations with foreign auxiliary equations and equivalence with generalized Darboux transformations

We show that a recently developed modified Darboux transformation that uses foreign auxiliary equations, can be unified with the Darboux transformation for generalized Schrödinger equations. As a consequence of this unification, we obtain explicit Darboux transformations with foreign auxiliary equations of arbitrary order. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Recurrent metrics in the geometry of second order differential equations

Given a pair (semispray $S$, metric $g$) on a tangent bundle, the family of nonlinear connections $N$ such that $g$ is recurrent with respect to $(S, N)$ with a fixed recurrent factor is determined by using the Obata tensors. In particular, we obtain a characterization for a pair $(N, g)$ to be recurrent as well as for the triple $(S, stackrel{c}{N}, g)$ where $stackrel{c}{N}$ is the canonical ...
